Sachet bags are affordable little luxuries.
Filled with scented potpourri or dried rose petals or lavender buds, the sachets are usually found nestled in drawers, hanging in closets or dangling from door knobs.
The miniature lace embroidery hoop (pictured top right) was made by my daughter, as a small child.
Although it has long lost its scent, sentimentality makes it impossible to discard. The monogrammed sachet on the right is from Nantes, France and was included in a birthday gift from a friend.
My daughter recently made the sachet (left) of old gold lace, lined with lavender silk. She added a 1950s rose cut from fabric and tied the bag with satin ribbon. These exquisite little touches combine to make even the simplest of objects precious!

these sort of things tickle my heart!
