I am headed across the pond to the lovely Southern city of Savannah, Georgia. If posts during the next few days are infrequent, that means I'm having lots of adventures! Or maybe just sitting on a veranda, fanning myself in the stifling humidity, while sipping mint juleps or glasses of iced tea. Or walking through the city's 21 squares shaded by giant oaks, with Spanish moss hanging from their branches.
Or checking out the local antiques shops and art galleries. Or going out for Southern comfort food at Lady & Sons or seafood at The River House. Or taking a twilight ghost walk, looking for Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil. Or doing nothing much, other than spending precious time with my daughter. No doubt you'll hear about some of these activities in future posts. Please stay tuned!

Y'all have a lovely time! Can't wait to hear about it :-)

Wonderful! I love Savannah. I spent a little time there in my travel writing days and wrote a dreamy article about it. Wonderful architecture, iron grille work, beautiful little touches everywhere, I almost (and happily)overdosed on the atmosphere. Bon voyage, and have a fabulous time and please write about it when you can!

I can hardly wait to hear about Savannah and see it through your eyes. It is a city I always hope to visit. I better hurry too. I felt the same way about New Orleans and look what happened there. So sad.
