Photo of Wadi Rum in Jordan, Zohrab
"Nameless places/trackless spaces,
undiscovered places we find in each other,
where no one else has been.
"Oases trembling under silk-tent moons
where we bathe in the delight
of sun-tanned, palm-fanned desert sand
"...trackless spaces and heated time-dust
celebrate the ancient rhyme
of only us.”
- Juley Wright

It is an odd feeling, Tara, to look at this beautiful picture and then reflect on my daughter's experiences in Tunisia. It looks so romantic but it's not.

Hi Tara... thanks for a great idea - you will see which one - and this great photo...
Take care
Ann Marie, so restricted with great prompts that I wrote the worst thing ever... but who cares... thanks for yours!!!!

Incredible - photo and poem. The desert is foreboding to many, but is so spiritual and mysterious to me. Every moment provides a new place to plant a footstep because the sand never stops moving, shifting. Food for much reflection.

Awesome photo of Jordan and the poem was a perfect expression of its beauty.
I saw DaVinci Code today and it really matched the book. Loved the awesome churches. Really good.
I want to thank you for your beautiful comments. You have the best blogging etiquette I have yet to come across. You remind me of Saint Barnabus "The Encourager." I'm very happy to have found you and your blog :)
Blessings

A photo that makes you think.A tree of life in the desert sand..what stories it can tell
My first time here. Another lucky lady that resides in France! :)

AAaahhhh, you've just made me so homesick!! When I first saw this photo, I would have bet money that it was New Mexico. There is a place just south of Los Lunas, before Socorro, on I-25 where there is a rest stop overlooking a field of sand dunes and the Manzano mountains in the background.
This is a lovely photo of Jordan, and I'd very much like to visit that country someday, but for now I am longing for my home in the desert.
