As you know, my computer crashed on Monday and I am unable to get a new one until July 18th when I'm in London. The French keyboards have a different configuration than English ones; alas, computer companies will not deliver to France. But thank you for your many messages of commiseration and suggestions!
Besides being unable to post or read your posts the last few days, I missed an opportunity to participate in a radio program about immigrant children trying to avoid deportation. Alas, I saw the invitation only this afternoon, when a rented (available for one week only) laptop was delivered. Being without computer access is like having a hotline to the world suddenly cut!
Thank you for your wonderful and heartfelt messages of support and solidarity, with regards to my upcoming surgery. I am deeply touched by your immense kindness and generosity. Truly, I am blessed to be part of such an amazing worldwide community of writers, artists and kindred spirits. Merci beaucoup, mes amis! I will be responding to your lovely messages.

Hi Tara. As usual, you have gifted us with a most intriguing list of stories. I'm waiting for the day when we can see them all bundled up into a short story series. I would be first in line at Borders to pick this up. Nice to see you back, if only temporarily and praying for you daily. Every thought is a prayer. Big hug for you. xxoo

I was ignorant about your upcoming surgery Tara but here's wishing you all the best.
And for the mean time, it's great to have you back in cyber space - it's just not the same without you :-)

We think keyboards with funny(unexpected) accent marks are fun! ;-)
We've been missing you and so has our "mom". We think about you all the time and send you best wishes, always.

It's a bit mind-boggling how these technologies have become such an integral part of our lives in such a short time - E-mail, especially. How frustrating that must be for you! Especially not receiving an invitation to speak on a topic dear to you.
I'm glad you were finally able to rent one for a bit - It's good to hear from you again.

I lit a candle for you in a church in Aix today-who knows if it works but it sends out positive thoughts out into the universe and that can't hurt.

Internet access or not--I'm thinking about you!
lots of love,

SO sorry to read of your recent struggles...I hope things work out beautifully for you all the way around. Use this "unplugged" time to rest yourself and just breathe a little bit. We'll still be reading along...

Hi Tara:
Keep us posted on your health and your computer. Take care. Be well.

Glad you're back, even if only briefly. Technology is wonderful, as long as it's working properly! And this frustration is surely the last thing you need now. But we miss your wonderful erudite comments on life and the world. Hope everything gets well soon :)

Oh I understandthis all too well! The changed letters format on the keyboard, the trying to connect to your server in antoher country, the disconnection, and lack of easy access, it is frustrating!
I hope you are at peace with the upcoming surgery, and feeling your beautiful self... we have missed you but understand all that is going on!!

Tara! So good to see your back, if for only a little bit. We'll take it. Seems so lonely without you! Glad you have a rented one for the time being. I know I go crazy without a computer. Hang in there friend! All of this is just a "blip" on the radar!
