I love stone angels. This one is excellent. I must find my photos of the angels on Reims Cathedral in Champagne. We were told that there was an angel with a bullet hole in his wings, left over from the Second World War, but didn't know where it was. I blindly aimed my camera as high as I could, and when the prints came back....you guessed it! The angel had bullet holes in her wings.

Ha. Someone told me today that I would see an angel from Englad and this was the sign I was on the right path.
I was like "That's too omen-y for my taste." And "what does that mean anyway?"
