It's raining in Paris - a lovely, steady cooling rain that freshens the air and lowers the temperature. Most of you probably are familiar with American designer Marc Jacobs' fragrance trio: Grass, Cotton and Rain. In Sephora today, I came across these gentle scents for the first time. Rain in particular is a wonderful fresh scent - an antidote to the overpowering heady perfume usually associated with bottled fragrance. So a bottle of Rain came home with me. My daughter painted the copy of the classic painting (pictured in the background) five years ago in an art class at the American School of Paris.

I love the way the colors all blend and reflect each other, your daughter's gift, and the perfume that becomes a memory of the weather of the moment.

How funny! I was choosing between Allure and (almost bought) Rain today. Instead I opted for Chanel Mademoiselle...
I wish I could afford them all (at once) though.

WOW I can't believe I haven't heard of this trio of perfume....I have a pretty good assortment of fragrances. I will definitely be looking in to them!! I can't leave the house w/o fragrance on, even if I look less than pulled together....I could be in the car, engine started and realize I didn't put any on....and will stop and go back for it!
btw - the painting is fabulous!

I haven't been by the department store cosmetics counters in forever, but your recommendation is giving me the urge to go browse the scents.
Your daughter's painting is lovely - very well done for such a young lady (she was what, 15 or so at the time?). She shows a lot of youthful talent.
