This lovely handmade birthday card was an unexpected treat in today's mail. The artist Colette Copeland of Toronto made this fabulous butterfly card by hand, adorning it with bits of fabric, lace, tulle, velvet ribbon and a button. Colette's latest creations - including beautiful collages, paintings and gift tags - are available at www.pomegranateplace.com.

thanks for including the link to her site ... so lovely!

I am also lucky enough to have a friend that makes me the most exquisite handmade cards for my birthday - they are miniature works of art, just like this one.

Thank you, Tara! Did you notice that the lace is in the shape of a butterfly?
