La Jeep? Not exactly what you'd expect on a French wine label. My husband the wine afficionado is always sampling unusual wines.
This wine's label has a black-and-white photo of an American jeep in the middle of a French vineyard. Surely there's some sentimental inside story, although it's not revealed on the label. A nice vintage, I might add.
In Savigny-les-Beaune in Bourgogne, there's a wonderful restaurant called "Le Morgan," named after the French owner/chef's favourite British car! The wine goblet (pictured) is a Waterford crystal Millenium Peace design.

how about stormhoek (http://www.stormhoek.com)? the label designs are fab too. sadly i haven't tried it as we can't get it in new zealand (yet).

Not exactly a quality wine, but here in the US we have one called Red Truck. I appreciate the taste. :O).

me? I buy wine for the label - and I never pay under $20 au. for a bottle. Most of the labels I have bought have been a great wine - thankfully. French wine is so expensive here in Australia - but we have a few good reds of our own.

Lovely Waterford. Oh Tara, you often display beautiful things!!!
La Jeep, a friend who also loves wine talked about it. I have yet to taste it. I have a bottle of Andrew Murray and half a dozen of crystal wine glasses (engagement gifts) which we are supposed to enjoy...
Must try la Jeep if I see it in the wine shop.
Bonne weekend.

I have a photo somewhere of a bottle of wine called "Cat's Pee on a Gooseberry Bush"!

Pity you can't send some of that wine by email. It looked just so tempting. By the way, we're not too far from Beaune, so I'll have to look up Savigny and maybe give that restaurant a try sometime.

a fun photo; it looks like the beginning of a very relaxing weekend.
I was lost in blogging space for awhile; I crippled my eblogger blog and had to rebuild; so I did so in wordpress. At least it is transferred over there and I can take a breather!! (sent you a response email a few minutes ago - let me know if you don't get it)
I can see that I have missed a lot going on here!

I wish my Jeep would bring home a bottle of that - I could use a glass ;)
The Waterford is beautiful.
