One of the things I like most about Sevilla is the unique iron grillwork fronting so many balconies and buildings.
The iron grillwork on this balcony on Calle Placentines has a gothic look.
Even the glassed-in balconies feature painted iron grillwork in this building facing Plaza de San Francisco.
This stucco residential and commercial building is enhanced by arched windows and doorways, as well as beautiful tiled frontispieces.
While its whitewashed stucco design is simple, this is one of the most expensive pieces of real estate in Sevilla: a private apartment in the former Jewish quarter. It is located in a passageway alongside the Alcazar Palace.

I really like the first one, tres romantique, they each have their own beauty.

I've been so absent from commenting here that I feel like I slept through a trip I was taking. I love the photos and seeing what you see.

I love the last whitewashed building! It would have to be one of the most expensive places in Seville!

You always have the most wonderful collection of photos; like visiting where you are without leaving my seat. Paris take me away!

I love the second one from the top taken at night; it reminds me of the French Quarter in New Orleans. The glassed-in ones look so Moorish... I remember them from Cyprus (where I spent a few years with my family) and they called them "jamareeyah", which always sounded Arabic to me. But then Cypriot Greek is filled with foreign words reflecting the waves of invaders in their history.

These images are wonderful to see! I feel as though a fair maiden should be standing there as her lover seronades her with his Spanish guitar! I love the balcony w/ flowers pots!
