Christmas presents from my daughter were topped with vintage millinery flowers and grape clusters found in Savannah. A hatmaker closing shop sold all her stock to a local store. Jordana was lucky to snap up a few pieces, before a retailer bought the rest and tripled the prices. Meanwhile I have been staying up late watching French television's special run of film noir from the '40s and '50s, in which women wear the kinds of hats these pieces might have adorned.

Great pictures...thoughtful of your girl to snag these for you. After a whole lifetime of not really paying attention to little dainty trinkets and treasures, I am now falling in love with (of all things) hand mirrors...though, these pieces could catch my interest next. Who knows? Have a beautiful New Year's!!!

I can just see you in one of those hats, too! Your high cheekbones and sultry looks are very film noirish ;D.

Beautiful eye candy, those vintage flowers. I have used this type of package decoration also, but not vintage. Love it!
