Tara,
Beautiful characters for the Nativity scene. They look hand crafted (the clothing). The whole scene must be magnificent..Cow and all!

I haven't visited in a few days! oh my lord - Christmas in Paris - stuff my dreams are made of. It is all absolutely divine! thankyou Tara, for making Christmas magick xoxo

The Bold Soul

This story reminds me of when, as very little children, my sister received a gift from Santa of a toy farm, complete with small plastic farm animals. And she INSISTED that the pig from the farm HAD to be put in our (very pretty and elegant hand-painted) Nativity scene.

That plastic pig was part of the Nativity every year from that time forward. Even after the toy farm was long gone and we were grown up. Even after my mother tried to explain that Jesus was a Jew and Jews didn't eat pork or bacon, so it was unlikely there was a pig present in the manger that night. Little Sis didn't care: there was a cow and a donkey and some sheep in the Nativity, so it MUST be a farm and therefore that farm was missing its pig. She happened to have such a pig. Problem solved. Nothing more to see here, move along.

Children have their own logic. And apparently, so do the people who did that Nativity store window!

Beautiful, Tara. I can truly imagine what the rest of the figures look like.

What lovely nativity figures. I love that they're clothes are made from fabric.

I want to see the big stuffed cow - what a teaser!!

Beautiful and reflecting what Christmas is all about - all too often forgotten.
