A rather trim Pere Noel poses for a picture in between visits with French children. The empty chair next to Pere Noel or Santa is for his young visitors with their wish lists.
At the Christmas market in our neighbourhood, bright red Pere Noel or Santa hats are on offer.
The ever-popular Carossel de Jules Verne was kept busy Sunday afternoon, as lines of children impatiently waited their turn.
This little girl thought it was more fun to drape herself over the duck's back than to sit during the dizzying ride.
Children prepare to disembark, as the merry-go-round slows to a stop.

What bright holiday photos that demonstrate so well the great time everyone is having at the market...Paris has more carousels than any city I've ever seen!

Shh...I think Pere Noel is napping.
If I were little, I would so love to ride the swan boat, too! Delightful photos, Tara - thank you!

He doesn’t exactly look thrilled about having his picture taken….What ever happened to Jolly old St. Nick? Great photos though…you do capture that Christmassy feeling!!!
Hugs Sherrie

Beautiful. Hey, isn't there a book..."French Santa's Don't Get Fat"? ;)

Merry-Go-Rounds are one of my favorite things in the world. The pastel colors here are so inviting to children and calming for them. I'll bet parents the world over would appreciate these colors.

Gorgeous merry-go-round! Yes, that Santa is a bit trim, I wonder if Mrs. Claus made him go on the Atkins Diet???
hehehehe, JP
