Our tiny kitchen is bursting at the seams with collectibles, as I have a penchant for kitchenalia. A Directoire bookcase has been drafted to house various collectibles, as well as cookbooks.
Among my favourite items are tole trays (the one pictured is American from the 1940s); French wicker-clad glass bottles; enamelware (the French coffeepot and trivet shown are from the 1920s) and English antique jelly moulds in porcelain, ceramic or stoneware (like the one pictured at right, featuring a pineapple mould design). What's your favourite collectible item?

my favourite colour is turquoise and this pic has a lot of it!
is it yours too, then? [or was that pink]

I have been thinking of painting a table that exact color; sort of a seaweed?

Kitchen collectibles!! Which is why I would lose my mind in your home - or just in the flea markets in Paris. I love vintage dishes. I collect rose-ite, azure-ite, jade-ite.. I love pink lustreware. And any sort of beautiful old rose china. Well now that I think about it - I just collect a ton of stuff and you don't have space for it on here. If it's girly girl and pink - I probably love it.

I am so addicted to the old jadeite pieces, one day I will have a display of them in my kitchen I love what you've shown here!

Your jelly moulds are lovely. I learned to like pottery a lot more after I took a couple of ceramics classes and came to appreciate all the variety there are in glazes.

.....and just the same we could change kitchens :-)
I love the delicate green. Would be perfect in my "The Blue Café" I think.

I have a collection of poetry books, my librairy is congested with books and magazines. I love collecting magazines, I think I still have some that are four years old. I also buy a lot of acrylic paint. Your collectibles are colorful, gentle and classy

what a lovely composition, tara. beautiful colors.
as for me, i find myself amassing tea cups and old books predominantly. but i also like small figurines, especially those of chinese and spanish dolls.
i would love to be able to collect antique furniture but space and shipping are always issues. :(

My collections stop at around 3-4 items because of severe lack of space.
My treasures include four antique decoy ducks and some very old lace. I also have some old glassware, a couple of items are genuine antiques, and I use them.
As for books, I had to stop when they overtook my life, my air space. I can't live without them, so I compromised by using the library and only buying books I am passionate about.

I used to collect a lot of items but have since concentrated on hand-made pottery, especially that from the Carolinas, and antique tea cups. I live in a two-bedroom apartment and have nowhere to display it all just yet but it's itching to come out of its boxes! Your picture makes your kitchen look so warm and cozy. Great shot! Interesting topic, too. God Bless your day, Tara! :)

I think I am becoming obsessed with the color green, if I see something unique and green, I'll probably try and possess it :)

I collect too many things! It started with old books; then tins; copper molds; cookie cutters. Then there are the tea cups/pots; s & p shakers; fiestaware (though not the really old stuff, as it's really not good for edibles to touch, and I worry about mix-ups)...Um, I think my collections need their own house to live in!

Hah, there is so much I like, I can't choose. Whenever I have three of something, I figure I am on my way to another collection. However, my three biggest collections are lighthouses, crosses, and clocks.

Your kitchenallia items are beautiful. I tend to think of myself as a non collector. Yet, I have a lot of books I cannot part with. So, I guess I'm a book collector.
