Okay, maybe I can't offer you room service in a Paris hotel, but you can win this clock! In honour of you, dear readers - who have made my first year of blogging so memorable - I am giving away this working clock. Just leave a comment for this post and your names will go into a hat. On Tuesday, Feb. 6, my friend Gabrielle will pick the winner from le chapeau. And I'll send the clock to the winner, wherever you may be in the world. Bonne chance!

That clock is beautiful and you are amazing to be GIVING it away. I hope it is not too late to get my name in that bowl.

Oh please oh please oh please! I love reading the blogs of American women in France. The clock reminds me of a visit to Paris years ago, staying at the Scribe Hotel-eating escargots for the first time at Les Trous dans le Mur and putting those two years of high school French to good use.

Mais oui, you are fun!
I went to school in the sud de la France and this lovely clock would turn back time for me, even as I approach a milestone. (Which, as the French say, at this age I have the face that I have made!)
Merci bien, love your writing and photos.
