My friend Gabrielle, a former antiques dealer, lives in a beautiful stone farmhouse near Versailles. Every time I visit her home I am astonished by the stylish tableaus everywhere I turn. Today I asked if I might photograph them. Aren't these vignettes fabulous??!!

Such marvelous tableaux - but practical me cringes at the thought of dusting them :)

I so covet the sunburst mirror. I love it all though. I bet she is a fun person to hang out with too. I love the big red plate in the middle of the other red plates. Cool!

ok - I will kill for the sacred heart! And in the 2nd photo from the top, is that a monstrance in the top right hand corner with the blue stones?

I love the table against the window - but it is all beautiful - what a good eye!
I enjoyed the photo of nz and your haiku too. The photo looked like it could have been taken around where i live ... on a stormy day.
