What treasures!
I have a beautiful old crucifix that my grandfather carried back from Italy for my grandmother. And all my grandmother's embroidery and hand crocheted doilies. Oh my did you bring back good memories - thanks.
Sorry I'm late - we've had a power outtage

Jone

Oh what yummy finds. I love how I "travel" to Paris each week with your blog.

GeL(Emerald Eyes)

Fascinating. Although I like to collect unusual things, I didn't become interested in antiques until reading blogs, like yours. I'm glad you're enjoying your "yummy" finds. :)

AscenderRisesAbove

you are right -- those are wonderful finds. totally yummy!

sarala

You always have the best treasure hunts.

TI

Yummy, indeed. I especially love the buttons and the forks (great table cloth under the forks too). Ah, to lose oneself in a Paris market!

Mardougrrl

There is such a joy in the well-chosen, well-appreciated THING, isn't there? You have a knack from bring that kind of attention which comes from your whole mind, and sharing it with us.

Thank you for the gorgeous pictures and the haiku.

Liza

yes, these are YUMMY finds! I love the cards!

KG

Hunting for treasures on a rainy day is something I haven't done in awhile — now I miss it!

These photos are really delectable. I can see the meticulous hand work in all of these items. It's just beautiful that so many artisans walk among us and that they leave bits of themselves behind.

berrie

yummy is an understatement! ummm I sooo miss hunting for treasure:( keeping some, selling some:).....sadly at the moment I'm not enjoying much of anything I use to, so darn busy...so it's always good to see over here! xo the church in the snow is like something from a book in my childhood* BeaUtiful! xo

Karen Travels

I love these pics!

Thank you for visiting my blog, I cherish your comments. One of these days, or years, I am going to attack you with questions about Paris - I really want to take my dad there for a visit!

Karen

mikim

Wonderfully "yummy finds"! The silver-plate forks are beautiful.

gautami

Beautiful! or should I say yummy?

Loved these things.

tongue in cheek

Lovely collection of little treasures! That is one of my favorite markets! It is incredible isn't it?! Lucky you to live nearby!

JHS

Wow, that's great stuff. I recognize the button cards. My mother had a button box with some old buttons from those companies in them. The "box" was actually a round tin in which a dust mop head had originally been. My sister has it and the sewing machine, a Singer from bout 1952. What a great machine . . .the old black kind with the gold time. Not a fleck of gold gone despite the 1,000's of yards of material sewn on it.

tinker

Tara, you have a knack for finding yummy things - thanks for always sharing them with us! xo

bella

Tara, these are indeed yummy, magical finds.

Lisa(0ceandreamer)

You have once again found treasures that created an inhale of breath...each and every one. It is my dream to walk through a Paris flea market and feel that inhale upon spotting treasure after treasure in person. You, my friend, have a knack for it. so are you doing some art?
XOXO

Amber

I love the little cards. I could see those framed in a little girls room... :)

:)

Regina Clare Jane

There is something about those forks... I can just imagine eating the most yummiest French food with them...
Thanks, Tara, as always.

scott nutter

Nice stuff...but I always wonder and never ask.... do you live in a bottomless, sideless apartment?

Just how/where do you find the room for all of your treasures?

Tara responds:

Scott, thank you. Many of these "treasures" are later sold or given away as presents or used in art or sewing projects (either mine or my daughter's). For everything that comes in, another goes out. I have recently given away a serious amount of stuff, including two pieces of furniture.

Hundred and one

I love the hand-beaded millinery flowers. Now those are really yummy.

Colette

Tara, Tara, we must go to the puces when I come over. Will you take me? please? please?
