It's no wonder vintage French baskets are so hard to find. I came home from the dentist's office this afternoon feeling rather the worse for wear, only to find woodworm had taken over two baskets holding books. Those little monsters were literally munching the baskets' foundations to bits. I spent two hours filling in tiny little holes in each basket with woodworm killer, only to discover woodworm holes in one small side section of the Spanish chest! Maybe those holes were there before and the chest no longer has woodworm. But to be safe, I had to treat it again. Time to stop collecting vintage baskets.

The culprits - drying on the balcony after their woodworm treatment.

There's still hope for these vintage luggage pieces - no signs of woodworm. I use them to store books.

These are all so lovely - what a shame about those wood-worms! I hope you were able to cut them off at the pass, and won't be troubled by them anymore. Are woodworms the same as bookworms?

I fear a trip to the dentist is in my future - I can feel one of my crowns moving when I bite. Yay. And another tooth is cracked. Another yay.
I would have no idea how to know if I even had basket woodworms????
That tin is... divine.

My dental was for checkup/cleaning. I hope yours wasn't something painful. xoxo
(I reloaded the photo of my collage; I hope it will be visible now. I hate when Blogger does that, especially as I don't know why.)
Flamenco class in an hour.

Ack! Hope the pesky woodworms stay away now.
Otherwise we seem to have had similar days: dentists and pretty tins! I had a dental appointment, and I posted a picture of a pretty tin I found.
