Sushi delivery motorcycles near La Motte Piquet, Paris.
Recently Poetry Thursday initiated an exercise in which participants each contributed one line to form a poem. It was fun, as the poem dipped and changed direction.
To prove that poetry isn't scary - that you might enjoy it and even be good at it - I'd like to introduce a "stealth" poem: throw a few lines together et voila - a poem!
To contribute, leave a line of poetry in the comments section that responds to the previous participant's line. Write the first thing that comes into your head; just have fun with it. This weekend I'll post the resulting poem.
Here are the first lines:

When the delivery arrived, she was ready...
Now it's your turn! Come on, let's play! What's the next line?

then jabbing a "makizushi" with her fork,
she twirled toward him, "wasabi" on her lips

These lines are from Chris Sapp, who encountered word verification problems when trying to comment. (I have the word verification function disabled on my weblog - as I find it annoying and time-consuming - but sometimes it apparently kicks in on its own). Chris's lines were submitted directly after Tongue-in-Cheek's lines:
The eyelids became visible, closed
As he rushed forward towards her

those eyes that licked her lips.

Perhaps this was not intended for me
but I can eat it all the same, I suppose
rather than take the time
to place another order
hurry, hurry
I must go.

by unforgotten familiarity
standing behind a unforgiven smile

Gifts from the sea - sashimi and wasabi,
trimmed with a Daikon radish rose.
*You are inspiring me - I don't even LIKE sushi, lol.

Hunger will drive one to new appetites.
As she inhaled, she decided, upgrades are gifts.

Correction: that's " she thought " !!

It's nevertheless a gift, she though, and reached for the order that wasn't hers.

Your poem is cute. But I am not sure eating sushi from these carts is a wise thing! lol

With a gasp she realized this was not her delivery

Would it be what she ordered?
Or would she be surprised?
