This is such great news! I just heard an interview yesterday on NPR with the Rector of "Brides Church" (?) on Fleet Street in London. It was so interesting to learn that there is a church that specifically reaches out to journalists in England and actually honors those who have lost their lives in their line of work. He spoke passionately and resolutely of Alan and noted there was a display at the church to remind parishioners to pray for his release. Hearing the story prompted me to lift my own prayers for this man yesterday. While I'm sure my prayers didn't tip the scales, I feel so good to know that I lifted them on the day he was freed. We all needed a happy ending for a change, didn't we?

What incredibly good news! I heard him on the radio this morning, and talk about brave... He said that what he had gone through was nothing compared to the years some others have gone through in captivity... An amazing man.
