Would you like to take a stroll along the Seine? Walk with me on this path...
Rusty metal sculptures made of found objects.
Shall we ring the bell and stop for tea?
Birdhouses and flowerpot dolls suspended from tree branches.
Birdhouses, a bird feeder, butterfly and windchimes. The mushroom reminds me of one of Vanessa Valencia's paintings.
Antique wooden chairs with no seats.
Bright riverside flowers.
A boat obviously named in honour of Constance (Rochambeau), who celebrated her birthday last Friday.
An old boat propeller as sculpture.
A wooden mermaid sculpture graces a peniche.
Want to take a kayaking lesson?
Lacy wildflowers along the path.
A signpost marks the entryway to a grand peniche.
A floating restaurant.
Shall we stop here for lunch?

I'm liking the chairs with no seats. All the photos are great! I can see myself accidently coming across this and already feeling so much familiar.

What a lovely stroll. Merci beaucoup, mon amie!

That was fun! I'd walk along that path daily if I could!

Each walk offers us different views, new insights. Without a doubt, a walk along the Seine offers more diversity than a walk in a Boulder suburb (July 19) . Still, I hope that I can open my eyes to see what is offered, feast upon the ordinary.
It's nice to know, though, that when I feel weary, I can stop by here for a view of spectacular diversity.
Meilleurs voeux!!

Oh how I enjoyed this walk with you, I think we almost missed a few things from all the talking we did. I am so glad I had you to point out all those wonderful things - loved seeing the mermaid...and all birdhouses hanging from the trees. Such delights along the Seine....and it made me really want to hop a plane. thank for the stroll and the fabulous company!!

Yes to all of your questions! Thank you for the lovely, quiet Seine narrative. I'm always so moved by your photos, the images you choose to capture. They tell us so much about you.

Oh thank you Tara for the little walk along the Seine! Can I claim that boat for my pretend summer l'atelier? Then you can come visit me when you want. At least I can pretend, right? P.S.
I have a lot of friends for your Mermaid to meet.
You make my day bright!

Fabulous! One of the things I missed most living on the island was RIVERS. I think rivers that meander through cities sometimes get short shrift. I got so much pleasure from the presence of the Willamette winding through Portland when we lived there. Thank you for sharing this wonderful photo essay!

This post is why I have my coffee with you every morning. The mushroom picture was the most gorgeous old tree that I wished it stood without adornments.
So glad we stopped for lunch, I was famished after our walk. :)
Thank you for sharing a piece of your world.

Do the "brought in sandy beaches," still happen at summer time?
How about the hip Disco with the glorious pool, did they ever repair it after the fire?
Thank you for the walk ablong the riverside.
Tara responds:
Yes, we still have "Paris plage," manmade beaches. And the disco and pool have been restored, if we're thinking about the same one. Je vous en prie!
