Not exactly Monet's water lilies at Giverny, but they're more accessible. Lily pads thrive in one of several ponds in the Bois du Boulogne, Paris.
The plume of smoke coming from the trees opposite the pond is from a barbeque grill. Several people were barbequing Sunday, right next to a large sign proclaiming "No barbeques!" Ah, the French: always the rebels!
From a distance, it looks as though a tree has fallen across the path leading from the bridge. In fact, the tree has leaned so far to the left, it's entwined with another.
This weeping willow offers cool shelter in summer's heat - not that it is warm in Paris at the moment - far from it!

It looks so lush where you are. Great photos!

Oh, it looks as though the tree is leaning over to embrace the other one - how sweet! Lovely photos, Tara. xo

How weird - we took Charlotte (here on holiday from Paris) into the forest yesterday to see the giant lilly pads and they had all gone. It's you again, first the Chemist's Bottles and now the Lilly Pads

I love willows Tara. Your photos are incredibly beautiful.
The leaning tree looks as though it is salsa dancing with the other tree!

Hi Tara, it's not that warm over here either! I thought of you yesterday as I found a chandelier to match our wall lights! You can see some pics on my blog!
By the way, that tree is amazing isn't it!

The weeping willow has always been one of my favourites (the white peeling bark of the birch tree is a close second!) Beautiful photos, Tara. xx, JP

We had several weeping willows on our property growng up, and I always loved them. It looks like such a quiet spot to retreat from the crowded city streets of Paris!

I just sunk into all that green! Adored the colour of your previous Seine post - what absolutely delicious photos!(The flowerpot dolls are so cute ... the restaurant such an inviting red ... the arrangement of gates and bells ...) I could go on! I loved where you took me Tara!

I always like weeping willows. Their ability to just relax and go with the flow appeals to me. Your photos are very pretty.

Fabulous photos!!!! I just love the one of the trees...it looks as though the one leaning was reaching for the other as if it was walking away "WAIT, come back! Je veux être juste des amis"!
(ok so I have a weird imagination)
Thanks for sharing the wonderful sights you see!
XOXO
