Inspired by young Boone's philosophy of digital photography - "real life, enhanced," this and two photographs below are cartoon-version shots of window displays at a toy store in Passy in the 16th arrondisement. Les poupees. made of soft molded plastic, are modern-day versions of Kewpie dolls.
This doll has blue hair to match her colourful striped outfit, as she climbs a pole at the playground.
This ferris wheel of dolls is constantly revolving. Occasionally a doll becomes dizzy and tumbles out.
A quick shot as I ran past in the rain of the movie poster for Disney's film Ratatouille, on the side of a bus stop in Passy.
The Paris summer sales are ongoing, including a shoe sale at Ann Tuil. I didn't buy shoes, but I did bring home a few art supplies!

Hi

Tara, I always enjoy your photos, and seeing how France looks to you. It's probably a good thing I missed that shoe sale! :)

Woowie, those are some bootiful shoes! I am really wanting to see Ratatouille and I don't usually want to see kid pics. Tara I have not forgotten the postcard thingy. I have a plan..it involves a before and after...I have searched for and found the before, now I need to find the after, which means simply getting off my tutu and doing it!

Tara - these photos are just wonderful - I love the ferris wheel shot and the thought of the dizzy dolls tumbling off - and the pink and green Kewpies - all of them real eye candy...
- and Boone will be tickled (in his 11 year-old cool dude sort of way) that you were inspired by his photo and philosophy.
We spent the past few days in the town studio painting angels for the "Angels for Brianna" auction - his angel is... well - divine.
He just got home - he's excited about the fireworks - but maybe...

Marita, it rains all the time in Paris; in fact, it's been raining off and on for the past couple of weeks and it's cold and grey - very unusual weather for summer. Will email you about the memories.

looking at your colorful 'etalages' pictures i noticed that it doesn't rain in paris, or am i wrong? i love 'ratatouille' as a dish i mean? and tara, tell me all about your memories ;)

I bought Milla a little Corolle Buggy for her doll. She went absolutely barmy! Pushing the doll in her buggy everywhere for about 2-3 weeks. Now, she is playing with cars and trucks. Cute, girly Corolle buggy is parked, unattended in the corner of the living room.
Shoe sales? hmmm. Good that I am broke. I love shoes. Even pregnancy cant cure me.
Hugs. Nxox
