"The light of early morning," photo by Madelyn Mulvaney
"I have found that you have only to take that one step toward the gods and they will then take ten steps toward you. That step, the heroic first step of the journey, is out of, or over the edge of, your boundaries and it often must be taken before you know that you will be supported." - Joseph Campbell
Two blogging friends who are very talented photographers have recently opened etsy shops to sell their work. Both Maddie of My Little India and Susannah of Ink on my fingers have a gift for capturing life's perfect little moments on camera.
I am proud to own a few photographs taken by these amazing women and encourage you to visit their blogs and their etsy shops. Their print prices are very reasonable and the quality of their photographs is priceless!

lovely photographs - thanks for sharing them!! it is true talent to be able to take shots like those.

I loved reading that quote - just what I needed today :)
It went into my notebook for future inspiration.
These photos are marvelous, too. I just got one of Susannah's, which I treasure.

Simply gorgeous photography!
And the accompanying text by Joseph Cambell reflects what I try to remember every day. I believe in those first steps, even though sometimes I need to be reminded by other people what it is all about. :-)

Tara - i am just so filled up -
you have the most generous heart i
know - and I cannot tell you how
wonderful you made me feel when
you chose my indian photo's
as you know how close to my heart they
are.
I love this quote that goes with our work
so well - the "leap" is quite
a brave thing to do:) but with friends like
you cheering us on - it feels effortless:)
I bought that very print "purple" from
Susannah - the moment I saw it - it made me
smile and I loved it. Susannah has
a real gift for capturing a
whimsical "smile" in detail and she is
particularly observant of the magic of
color.
Tara, thank you for your generous heart -
hugs
love
Maddie:)
(happy dance - i am off to print this out - my first
"review" :)

Tara the photographs are wonderful, and I am going to definately visit the Etsy shops after I comment here.
I as well adore Joseph Campbell since I first saw him interviewed for a Myth series on PBS (I think it was Bill Moyers?). What a brilliant mind. This quote is particularly good, as it lends itself to the definition of 'faith'.
Enjoy your Sunday in Paris~!
