This weekend my friend Pam from college days - shown here with a baguette during a visit in April - is getting married to a wonderful man. It's a very romantic story of how two people found love again, after previous marriages had ended.
Between Pam and Paul - her husband-to-be - they have four young adult children, who will join in the wedding festivities. Pam is an English professor and Paul a lawyer. They seem so well-suited for each other, it renews one's faith that love can conquer all.
When Pam was in Paris, her romance with Paul was just beginning to bloom. Even though she was here alone, lots of phone calls and emails flew back and forth between them: it was obvious at first blush that their relationship was something special. So it's fantastic that the relationship deepened and very shortly, they'll be married!
Wish I could be there to help celebrate! Wishing every happiness for Pam and Paul in their life together.
May the love you share
warm your hearts and sustain you
through the years ahead.

Ah love ... it can come into our lives at any age. Congrats Pam and Paul! JP/deb

Tara,
You thoughtful, caring friend. Pam is one lucky lady to have maintained her friendship with you all this time. Now to have such bliss with her new relationship, it is wonderful. I wish them the brightest, happiest future together.
