I love the last line in particular. Sad, but true. I hope you and David have a very happy Thanksgiving! xx, JP/deb

I liked all the three sentences Tara, loved the combination of the weeping cherub that so reflect the times you have potrayed through the poem, lovely. Thank you.

A Fanciful Twist

Oh Gosh... What a mess....

I want to run away sometimes. But there are hopes that waves of good times will come too, not to be ridiculous optimist... xooxoxoxoxxo

Love you

I might have guessed that yours would comment on politics. I work for an exporter and the weak US dollar has been causing us problems for the last few years. The price of fuel skyrocketing doesn't help, either.

Rough times ahead, to be sure, Tara, though it always seems to go in cycles, doesn't it? Or maybe a monster rollercoaster is a better analogy with its crazy crescendos and terrifying drops. As long as we hang on despite our white knuckles, we'll survive. K.

Oh wow. I wondered about the impact of your dollar plummeting. We accept US at par here at the spa, during this time. When the tables were turned, a lot of shops in Upper New York state took our weak dollar at par too.
What will happen? Crazy times.

Yes your dollar falling good for me as a buyer - bad as a seller!!! But your comment - oh so true!

Teardrops falling,
and people cast a blind eye.

Pithy. What will happen to us, do you think?

My Melange

Yes, and regarding the dollar falling....I am crying, just like the cherub.....
