A bejeweled neckline graces a red satin party frock at Bon Marche, Paris.
Bronze scalloped lace.
A bronze beaded and chiffon top over a black silk sheath.
Bejeweled designs on a black short-sleeved crepe and satin dress compete for attention with the curtain of glittery "crystal" stones.
A side view of the same dress.
A sleeveless black dress with chiffon overlay.
A gold satin evening gown with 1940s flair.
Satin-edged velvet platform pumps inspired by the 1940s.
Black suede platform slingbacks with very high heels.
A "spaghetti-swirl" table laden with faux decorations for a holiday buffet.
A blue light gives the buffet table a festive appearance.

Those platform shoes are too cool. and then I need one of those dresses and someone to take me to that blue-light party!

I am SO loving the SHOES. Pity I just can't wear heels at all anymore, but I love 40s-era clothing. I wanted to be one of the Andrews sisters.

I like those platform pumps, oh la la.
The reflection of the architecture in some of the photos is lovely.

Right, I want the gold dress with those satin edged black 1940s shoes. Do you get the nipped in waist to go with it? I wish!

Tara, I need that gold dress with the gold shoes. Think I will win the lotto this year, in time for New Year's?

Oh sequins, how I love thee. Sadly, I am quite forbidden to buy any (more) party dresses this season, due to a surfeit of insufficiently worn downs. *sigh* But that dark gold full length gown is so beautiful...
