A trio of Art Nouveau pottery pieces, circa 1898, Belgium.
If, like me, you're mad about Art Nouveau, the Musee d'Orsay is hosting an exhibition through April 13. Tickets for Alexandre Charpentier: Naturalisme et Art Nouveau are available at the museum.
The museum is open daily - except Mondays - from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and until 9:45 p.m. on Thursdays.

oooh love those colours!

I think with all that is offered in Paris (from all I have read here!!), I would never be at home if I lived in this city!!!

If I knew what art nouveau WAS, I'd be liking it too. If it looks like this.
I need to get out more!

I/m actually trying not to notice what exhibitions are on in the next few months, because I'll be anxious about what we're missing, but soon I'll start checking out what's scheduled for May/June -- if there's anything great, I suspect I'll find out about it on ParisParfait first! Mind you, we never get to everything we hope to, nowhere near.

Lovely image. I'm a fan of art pottery, too -- and pretty much anything within the arts and crafts period, particularly the Mission furniture (that looks so nice with pieces like this!)I know this is earlier, but it all goes so well!

Oooo, Georges and I both love Art Nouveau so thanks for the heads-up on the d'Orsay. I haven't been there in a while anyway so this makes a great reason to return! They had a wonderful Art Nouveau exhibit last year though -- lots of Guimard furniture among other things -- and I'm wondering if this one will be much different?

I'm not an Art Nouveau fan (except for rhinestone dress clips!), but these vases are gorgeous -- and you color too! xoxo
