look at me! late for my own party (again)!! thank you, sweetest one, for the well wishes filled with joy. and thank you to all these very kind people who have wished me well. i'm very honored. and, many thanks for posting your lovely holy wall. it is amazing! i've been trying to post since yesterday to my blog with photos of several pieces from a place we visited with friends right before my birthday. it's filled with mexican folk art and many, many religious pieces. but my computer has taken to bombing and acting very fickle and rude. hopefully i'll be able to get a post up today.

I don't know Kelly, but since both you and Constance have mentioned her (Constance asking me if I know Kelly), I feel I must get to know her -- I'm off there now!

Oh, they are gorgeous!! Envy! Great collection.
I have a couple of old crosses, santos and milagros from living in Santa Fe but nothing like this.

I'd missed a couple days of news watching and last night they were going on about her yelling at Obama ads and I was "huh?", what did I miss? - and then I caught most of the Texas debate on rerun, until family phone calls interupted.

I have a special fondness for religious icons as well. Last year a beautiful show of Russian triptychs can to the Nevada Art Museum in Reno and it was gorgeous. Photographing wasn't allowed, but I did ask this shop owner in a little store in Trinidad, CA if I could photograph their wall of icons - you can click on the photo to enlarge it and see more detail.

Hubby is campaigning heavily for a second chihuahua. A boy. If we get one, I want to name him Milagro. He wants to name him Spike.

What a fantastic collection you have here! The large milagro hearts with the beautiful filagrie work is stunning.

I'll head over to wish Kelly a Happy birthday!

p.s. My husband and I were discussing Hillary's about face last night and the fact that more and more super delagates are changing sides.
