Imagine the art supplies this early 20th-century printer's cabinet could hold! It was for sale at the 76th Foire Nationale aux Antiquites a la Brocante et aux Jambons at Ile de Chatou. If there had been any possibility I could find space for this marvel, it would have come home with me. But I couldn't locate the owner to discuss the price or prospects.
This printer's document block is so heavy, I could barely lift it.
More storage for paints and arts and crafts supplies in these vintage La Poste mailboxes.
A sorter cabinet from an old French post office and a vintage cinematography light.
A large model of the famous Paris landmark, l'Arc de Triomphe!

Awesome photos as usual, particually love the l'Arc de Triomphe. Magnificent! I could just see my cats running around and through it, wouldn't surprise me if they jumped all over it too. Still, I wouldn't let them near it though, its too beautiful for that.

Oh look at all the flat files and cabinets - treasure chests of my dreams! Thank you for sharing them, Tara!
I had to stop back by for one more quick visit - putting on my grandmerry hat for a few days. See you soon~XOXO

I knew you would come up with some stunning stuff but I wasn't expecting SUPER STUNNING. I want all those storage items and I really, really want the l'Arc de Triomphe only because it hasn't got any of those crazy cars speeding around it like the real one.
By the way Tara the bottom is falling out of the UK housing market so I think it's time to start looking:)- A BUYERS PARADISE AT THE MOMENT

Those cabinets are driving me wild. Wild, wild, wild! I can just see putting all my papers in those drawers in the first photo!

Ooh - antique storage space... How very covetable. We're in Darjeeling right now, so we'll be looking at buying things a lot smaller than that gorgeous cabinet in the first picture though!

I love all of it. How can you stand going to these things..you must want every other piece!!!
Is that a leopard print chair in front there at the bottom? Too cute! I'd be grabbing that one.
xoxo
Enjoy!

Look at that old TV!
All that French food in those pictures reminds me of a currently running American commercial where a couple are eating in a fancy (French?) restaurant. His plate arrives with one tiny fowl leg, half an asperagus spear, etc. He remarks, "This looks like elf food." ...and they proceed to a Burger King or some such....
*sigh* no wonder we all look like weather balloons.

For once I'm kind of speechless...Sometimes I wish that I could just collect every thing that catches my fancy for one reason or another and save it in one big house of marvels for all time.

I would kill to have that model of l'Arc de Triomphe for my home - I've been looking for one of those (which sounds crazy, but I saw something to that effect in someone's home and I loved it so much) forever... I'm sure it's so expensive I could buy a car. sigh

*sigh* How I wish I could be there to snatch up some of those wonderful storage units...I have the space...however, I am in the States.
