What a wonderful windmill! The pathway is so tumbledown and charming.

These are exquisite photos, Tara. I love them all.

tinker

What beautiful photos, Tara! What a photogenic windmill and blossoming signs of spring~xOx

Deb Lewis

Hard to believe such a windmill exists right in the middle of Paris - so charming! It must be beautiful there right now ~ we are still waiting for signs of Spring in New England, though there are tiny buds sprouting on my lilacs! "Hope springs.." and all ... xo Deb

marja

As a real Dutch person I grew up close to a windmill but this one is one out of a Fairy tale as is the building. Great

robyn

Oh wow fantastic greenery and photographs, love this!

Vienna for Beginners

What profusion of early spring flowers in that beautiful large fuchsia bed!
Vienna's location (few people think it's actually east of Prague!) seems to ensure more sunny days. We have had many beautiful days lately and during the last few days the clouds that are travelling through have been chased by a strong wind, giving us glimpses of brilliant sunshine in between.

Rosemary

What a beautiful spot. That windmill is breathtaking. Beautiful photos, as always.

Shelley

What a wonderful journey! Thank you for sharing such marvelous photos and allowing me to armchair travel with you.

I'm in the Admirals' Club at JFK, reading your blog and thinking that it's high time I visted the Bois de Boulogne. I never have! Your photos are, as usual, just lovely.
See you Friday!

Enchanting photographs. The caretakers windmill is fascinating architecture to say the least.

Greatly admire your entire blog. Charmingly remarkable!

Cheers.

I love this windmill and the areas surrounding it. There is such a charm about these structures.

Kim H

Oh my.... what a fairy tale place! I love the feeling you've evoked.

materfamilias

We've never yet made it to the Bois de Boulogne -- maybe this visit, inspired by that windmill.

chocolate covered musings

Colette

At least there are blooms. Still waiting for spring here, although the temperatures are rising a bit.
Gorgeous photos. xoxo

The steps leading up to that windmill look mythical, magical, almost like it isn't even real. What a beautiful place, thank you so much for sharing!!!
I need this now, we are expecting more snow tonight on top of the 30cm we already had!!! So tired of winter, and after seeing this post-longing that much more for Spring!
xo

rochambeau

Listen Tara,
They just don't make windmills like that in New Jersey! :-)
Thank you for giving me my dose of what I adore about Europe. It's fun to jump across the pond, without leaving my house!

The pink flowers are pretty - are they masses of heather? I wonder how old the windmills actually are in these photos?

kelly snelling

how lucky, lucky you are to live by these remarkably beautiful crumbling places! they take my breath. your pictures are Yumm-o! thank you for sharing your journey with me, tara. xo-k

Tammy

I really would LOVE to live on that island! XXXOOO

sherry

I was on facebook and one of my notifications told me that you were "tilting at windmills" -- yes, you are!!! :) I love this windmill -- it reminds me of one of Joanne Harris' books. Many of your photographic posts do come to think of it!! The fact that her books are generally based in France might be why!! LOL!! I've forgotten what spring is -- can you remind me please??? We have another 2 cms. of snow to drop tonight. I think the sky has been holding this forever and finally decided to let it all go in one winter!

Wanderlusting

What a beautiful contrast!

Each time I see windmills I can't help think of Don Quixote from Man of La Mancha...one of my faves. The windmills were gorgeous. Looking at your photo wants me to go out and get a picture of one myself.

marita

lovely images of what paris once was...
do you have images of 'le moulin de la galette', tara??
remeniscing about renoir's masterpiece of a sunny dancing spring day!!

Jeanie

What a beautiful, romantic setting. Like something you'd see in a novel! I love your early Paris spring, too. This reminds me of something I'd read a wonderfully romantic (or possibly spooky) story about! A grand motivation for a writing project!

Thanks for always posting these terrific photos. They really touch me and make me eager to get to France!

Thanks also for visiting the Marmelade Gypsy and entering a vote of support for "Let Rick Ride!" He's got lots of terrific support from across the US, but I bet you're the only one out of country!

You live in the most gorgeous area Tara. The windmill is stunning. What's happening at the Fair?????

Yoli

Tara, my jaw just dropped to the floor. You always have beautiful pictures but these are out of a legend. Where is Don Quijote?

stephanie

These have me dreaming of spring...the fuschia and orange...my favorite colors!

jzr
