This feels like it was borne from the depths of your soul. Sending you love, xx, JP/deb

Enjoyed this one mainly becuase I had a number of crossing "spellbound" images. On the one side I had that doll in a number of horror movies, and this one is the "good" one in answer. In spite of all the old worlds and the peeling paint, she is still there charmed by dreams of a child's swing!

Maybe I'm a bit too romantic, but loved this posting!

deeply susceptible to joy - this is a far reaching phrase! Lodged itself right in my mind. Lovely poem!!

You have such a way of capturing the emotions of a love affair and bringing them to paper.

I hope your spellbound doll finds an equally enchanting love to take her home.

You're right, Tara - she does look spellbound and starry-eyed - perhaps she's weighing her chances, to see if she's light-hearted enough to follow her star on the 'winds of change?'
Lovely imagery, those last two lines, especially.
There are those lovely files again - I can hardly take my eyes off of them, lol.
Happy St. Patrick's Day, Tara~xOx

Tara,
Nothing spellbinds like new love!

The doll looks rather deranged to me. But then, one person's spellbound is another person's deranged I suppose!

That being said, I like your poem. The idea of myths cultivated "as not to shatter the illusions of status quo" rings very true with me as it is very often the case in real life. Good thoughts.

She looks like she's expecting those chains to break :)

I have been drooling AND DAYDREAMING OVER ALL THE TERRIFIC BROCANTE PHOTOS!

Hola Mi Amiga Bella!! I love that doll! And your words are always so lovely!

You know that piece of furniture behind the doll? With all the tray shelves and leaning space. That is what I need!! If only it wasn't so far away ;)
