All of us have been deluged with spam, which lessened recently with the arrest of America's biggest spammer. But now spammers are resorting to identity theft, frontloading their own email addresses with the stolen names of individual email addresses.
One of the spammers uses the identity 24873985@jhwoodcharterschool.com, with "bradford.tara@gmail.com" - my actual email address - as the "from" line on their email. So beware of any emails purporting to be from me; more likely they're scams from despicable morons who can't think of any way to get people's attention, other than stealing someone else's identity.
Taleban arrested for attacks on schoolgirls
Remember the tragic story two weeks ago about men throwing acid at schoolgirls in Afghanistan? Police have arrested ten Taleban insurgents and charged them with the crime.
A Canadian nurse has a point
At AMERICAblog, a Canadian nurse reminds us their health care is paid by taxes; Americans pay similar taxes, but receive no such benefits.
Help elect Jim Martin
Sarah Palin is campaigning for the master-of-nasty-campaign-tactics Saxby Chambliss in Georgia. The run-off election against Democratic challenger Jim Martin is next Tuesday. You may recall Chambliss is the anti-immigration friend of corporations who's ignoring a supboena in a case against a Savannah sugar producer.
If you live in Georgia, the key to the run-off is getting out the vote. Please encourage your friends and neighbors to go to the polls next Tuesday. Chambliss has done a lot of damage during his six years in the Senate. Do you really want to give him six more?

Yes, such a tragedy that the simple act of going to school can be so dangerous. I really hope things improve in Afghanistan to the point that girls can attend school without fear of reprisal.

That spam is scary!
These people are not even human that would throw acid on these school girls. I hope they are brought to justice. That makes me sad but, I am glad they caught them.

That is so unfortunate about your spam problem. Such a giant waste of time that could otherwise be productive!!

I hope so too. They are relentless in their trouble-making efforts.

My pleasure, Colette. It's just shocking that in the richest nation on earth, health care is unaffordable for most Americans. This has to change!

Hi Tara, Sorry about the identity thieves. I didn't know that the biggest spammer had been arrested, I hope they catch some more of these bad guys!

Hear, hear.
I checked the thread on Americablog. Very eye-opening. Many thanks.
