Following his hugely-popular "Yes We Can" song and video, Will.i.am. debuts his latest ode to Barack Obama, "It's a new day!"
Happily, America has remembered its promise.
As Frank Rich writes in The New York Times:
"...The actual real America is everywhere. It is the America that has been in shell shock since the aftermath of 9/11, when our government wielded a brutal attack by terrorists as a club to ratchet up our fears, betray our deepest constitutional values and turn Americans against one another in the name of “patriotism.” What we started to remember the morning after Election Day was what we had forgotten over the past eight years, as our abusive relationship with the Bush administration and its press enablers dragged on: That’s not who we are.
"So even as we celebrated our first black president, we looked around and rediscovered the nation that had elected him. “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for,” Obama said in February, and indeed millions of such Americans were here all along, waiting for a leader. This was the week that they reclaimed their country."
Meanwhile, the Bush administration continues its race towards the bottom, doing as much damage as possible to ordinary Americans before leaving office.

I love this video! Let us hope that President-Elect Obama and the incoming congress can undo the mess that BushCo has (and continues) to perpetuate.
Peace, JP/deb

Bush is like one of those folks who realizes they are getting evicted cause they didn't know how to act in the house that was rented to them, so they try to get even, by destroying the property and bringing down the property value to others in the neighborhood. (America) Bush needs to pack his shi* and get the hell on!
Eh naw- maybe I need to go to the white house and put him out like a sista who is fed up with her man! LOL I should really insert here- how much I love ya, Tara. ; )

I think many have a renewed Energy for taking on the long and arduous task of rebuilding our country. That is a good thing.
