Hard to believe Sarah Palin was so thoroughly taken in by a Canadian radio personality's prank phone call; more evidence she doesn't have a clue about the wider world. The questions are outrageous in their bravado, yet Palin just laughs - all the while, believing the president of France is speaking.
The Canadian press weighs in on Palin's cluelessness. Guess Palin's staff should have done a better job in vetting her phone callers!
Still no medical records
Two days before the election, Palin still hasn't released her medical records or any information whatsoever about her health. Two weeks ago, she told NBC's Brian Williams she would release her medical records. The campaign promised Kate Snow of ABC News's it would release the records early last week. Snow has repeatedly requested the records, only to be told they're "working on" the request.
Palin, 44, insists she's had no health problems. How difficult can it be to gather her medical records? What is she trying to hide?

oh my gosh, there is nothing sexist about this incident NOTHING! Get a grip lady, lay off Tara for sharing her opinion- So you are one of those silly woman that thinks that just because Palin has a vagina ALL woman should support her, no matter that she is an idiot and not fit to be VP ???? I found this prank to be hilarious, and so telling,... also a little scary actually.

This was hysterical. And sad -all at the same time.

I agree, Tara, it is not sexist at all. It was painful to listen to the phone call. I thought it was pretty coward of her to hand the phone to someone else once she was told she was punk'ed.
Thank you for pressing on about the medical records; we deserve to know.

I find this entire joke completely sexist. I did not see anyone pulling this prank on Obama with his lack of experience. It seems to me another way for someone to emphasize the lack of experience many women would have since the majority of them either stay home and those who work are not pursuing political careers to the same percentages as men. But to see a woman promote this joke really bites.
Tara responds:
Sorry you feel that way. This comedy duo has played similar jokes on men, including Nicolas Sarkozy and other officials. There's nothing sexist about Sarah Palin's lack of experience and limited knowledge about world affairs. If Palin considers herself tough enough to be vice-president and even president, she certainly can handle a joke. I know plenty of women who stay home and don't work in politics, who are smarter than Palin and could have handled that phone call better. Being a woman has nothing to do with it; knowledge and experience and understanding of the world are the key points here.
Hillary Clinton and every successful woman in politics know full well that women in politics don't get special favors. I find it curious that you seem to expect Palin to be treated with kid gloves, simply because she's a woman. In my view, THAT's sexist. And I don't see how the prank has anything whatsoever to do with Sen. Obama - the pranksters never mentioned him and neither did Palin.

They said the only one who was more clueless than her was B. Spears.

Think, just for a second think: why would anyone in the world believe that this female - there is indeed a big and remarkable difference between females and women and I am making that distinction here - would be qualified for anything other than to kill wolves from a helicopter?
She, her ego and her ignorance are solely responsible for making a fool of herself. I couldn't watch the whole thing because somewhere inside me I felt what the Spanish people calls "verguenza ajena". Shame that doesn't belong to you but that you feel all the same, based on the belief that you could never sink so low. Vice-presidential material, indeed.

I emailed them to congratulate them yesterday. It was so funny -- and yet so very frightening to witness her ignorance and gushiness (we love you, Nicolas). Dear heaven!

That was hysterical and hugely scary at the same time, wasn't it? No wonder he named his running mate so late in the game. Damage control.
And isn't that a statement on her "peeps" that these two got through.

OMG! That was Hilarious! I had read yesterday that they managed to "punk" her. These two are notorious and have managed in the past to pull the wool over many.....but this one takes the PRIZE!
