Ironically, just this morning my son and I were paging through a book "road to freedom: Photography of the Civil Rights Movement 1956-1968" (an exhibition last year at the High Museum of Art) with images that were, well, anything BUT civil.
I am inspired beyond words by the election of this most articulate and classy gentleman!

I bet he'll be Person of the Decade, if we are fortunate enough that he can lead us in the direction we want so desperately.
These iconic images really stirred me and I'm so glad his campaign will also be associated with art and design, not just honesty and doing things the right way.

These images brought tears to my eyes. Shepard Fairy is an extraoridinary artist with his finger on the pulse on the world.
My dream for the coming year is for President Obama to continue his focus on leading our nation, from darkness into the light, for all the right reasons.
