Peace would be a fine thing, wouldn't it Christina?

Helen, I know what you mean about the parroting. When did people stop thinking for themselves? I blame reality television and the fact that too many people have stopped reading. So disappointing. And you're right about your last statement.

Christina

These are wonderful! So vibrant! Ahh yes, peace.

Helen

Peace is not getting much of a chance. There is not even much awareness in my own immediate realm. When I try discuss it, I hear parroting from faux news. Discouraging.

I can hear John Lennon singing the song in my head.

It reminds of the days of the Bed-in with John and Yoko.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Oh, no, I couldn't take all the shouting - am already in enough despair over the situation. Instead, I took two friends to the city's biggest flea market.

Thanks, Yoli. Yes, although it doesn't look like it's happening any time soon, with the Israelis racheting up their assault on Gaza.

absolutely Tara....I heard a big "manif" against violence in Gaza is to take place this afternoon Place de la République and i thought "ah..perhaps Tara will be there!"
:-)

Yoli

Those are lovely! As is the title of your post. Let's hope peace is given a chance.
