I've got the world on a string.
All photos, Paris, March 4, 2009. Back soon with stories of Napoleon and Egypt; film-making; friends; food and a rare find. See my friend Di's photos of today's outings here.

Put me out of my misery Tara. I went to Di's blog and on 4th March she posted a pic of two men walking down a side street, called The End Of The Day. Is that the street where we found that bag of cushions/pillows?

I am so ready for your Egypt stories. I love all your stories. But, Egypt is close to my heart. One day I need to share my own Egypt stories.

Yes the red fabric sculpture is a light. I like your poetic response to the photo! Merci!

Ohhh, I like that red fabric sculpture - is it a light? - in the bottom photo. It has me thinking of fluttering heartbeats, a swirling red dress, someone or a couple wrapped up in red bedsheets.

Dawn, thanks so much! These photos were a happy accident really. It was raining and I had no idea if any of them would turn out alright. When I uploaded them onto my laptop, it was a surprise to see they were better than I expected. Thanks again.

Thank you, Helen! These were taken with my little pocket camera and it was a lovely surprise that they turned out so well. :)

Beautiful photographs!
I'm home safe and sound. Thank you for a lovely couple of days. I need to sit quietly (as soon as quiet is possible) and write some more stories of alien life forms and laughter ;)

Merci, mon ami! The whole point of the photos is the reflections - otherwise, they wouldn't be very interesting. I love how reflections give the images a completely different focus.

Thank you for the lovely compliment, Elma. The crowns on my blog were all found at brocantes or antique fairs or antique shops in France and Sevilla, Spain.

I want to hold that in my hands and sing the song at the same time. : )
The reflections are just as beautiful as the pics, dear friend.

HI there, love your blog:) I was wondering where can I find crowns like the one you show on your blog?
