Sad, sad news
Update 1 a.m. Thursday Paris time: Natasha Richardson has died from her injuries, it has been announced.
I am deeply saddened by the tragic news that the actress Natasha Richardson has suffered a life-threatening head injury. Her family has gathered at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York to say their goodbyes.
Vanessa Redgrave was particularly kind to my daughter on her eighth birthday, when we met in London through a mutual friend. Faced with losing her child, I can only imagine the pain Miss Redgrave must be enduring. And of course Natasha's husband Liam Neeson and their two sons are devastated by such an enormous loss. My thoughts and prayers are with the Redgraves and the Neesons.

These sketches are exquisite. What a wonderful find!

She was my age so it hits home and puts everything in perspective. I can only image what her poor mother must be going through, her husband and her beloved children.
The drawings are expectacular and museum worthy. I think this is something you could pass on to Jordana. Can you imagine what her imagination can do with such inspiration?

I had to do a double take on the first picture to believe that it was a sketch. It looked like an engraving. They are absolutely gorgeous! And the detail!
Re Natasha, I heard too on the BBC this morning and I am just as sad as anyone else.
Many thanks.
Greetings from London.

I have been watching the news as well. As an avid skier, I started wearing a helmet 5 years ago. Riding a bike, riding a motorcycle, roller blading......keep your head protected. I think she is lovely and hope she gets well.
These sketches are so beautiful.

Natasha Richardson, so classy and beautiful. I feel so sad for all of the family. Makes you wonder why a person would suffer such a tragedy?
I'll be thinking of them. xo
Oh, your display of sketches here...gorgeous, timeless. xoxo

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that...I heard about the skiing accident on the radio last night - though at that time, they didn't realize how serious her situation might be, only that she'd gone to the hospital...How very, very sad. My heart goes out to her and all who love her.
What beautiful sketches...thank you for sharing them, Tara. ((Hugs)) to you~xOx

Again, what a stunning find at the brocante. And I was very saddened to hear about Natasha Richardson, but didn't realize she really might not make it. To gather for good-byes is just heartbreaking. (My children were up skiing on the day she had her accident. I try not to think about the possibility of a traumatic accident.)

The sketches are again, amazing...
My prayers also go out to the Redgrave family, Natasha's children...... and her husband, whom I have been in love with since he was in "Excalibur."
