i'm impatiently awaiting my peonies opening. i had to content myself with taking pictures of the buds this weekend. but soon...in the meantime, it was lovely to see yours. :-)

Olga, I appreciate the kind words about the photos. I, too, was struck by the colour combination in the bouquet of roses - most unexpected.

Merci bien, mon ami!

Lovely fleurs...the peony is my favourite...but it's always my favourite ;-)

I love travelling to Paris...of course, only thru your blog. Thanks for all the great postings.

Donna, thank you for the wonderful compliment. Hope things brighten up for you very soon!

Tara Bradford

Barbara, thank you! How lovely that the photo reminded you of a special time in your life.

P.S. Pivione is the French word for peony. :)

Cheryl de los Reyes Cruz

Wow, gazing at those photos makes me forget how gray the weather is here today.

Donna

Thank you for giving me some color, I feel like I am living in shades of gray right now. You are such a blessing.

Barbara

The piviones look enchanting, but I've never heard of them, so thank you for introducing me to them:) Peonies I have loved ever since I was a little girl. One of my most favorite pictures is of me standing with 'mon granpere' in front of my mother's peony garden on the day of my First Communion. Isn't it amazing the memories one photo can spark!

tangobaby
