"Liberty Man" at Liberty, London. Where have all the heroes gone?
"...War will compel nations the most attached to liberty to resort for repose and security to institutions which have a tendency to destory their civil and political rights. To be more safe, they at length become willing to run the risk of being less free." - Alexander Hamilton, The Federalist, No. 8

Those calla lilies are gorgeous and those burgundy peonies will be fabulous once they open.

I clicked through to Obama's speech to the AMA. What a mammoth problem the US has with it's healthcare. We so take for granted what we have here in the UK. It's not perfect but at least when we have an illness the costs are taken care of without any worry.

I only had time to read the bad news....I'll have to come back after my movie to read the good! (We are going to see Battle at the Smithsonian, should be cute!)
As for the white supremacists in the military, Lord help us all. I don't think they have any place holding a weapon in any position of power, as clearly their judgements are challenged. Growing up I was called the "N" word, because I had dark skin and dark curly hair. They are ignorant, they are hateful, and they can do much harm if given half a chance. Many of those types as children who taunted me were shocked whenever they met my blonde, blue eyed mother. I'll stop now before I say anything I'll regret.
And as for vote fixing in Iran...such a state of disgrace for that "elected" leader...to even go so far as to block texting and phone service. It's shameful. It sounds as though they will go the distance to correct the situation, this is long from over I think.
Okay, back after to read more.....! thanks Tara xo

Wonderful images with connections to stories. I cannot wrap my head against the senselessness of it all.

Love your connection with a great store and a great quote. I have a bumper sticker which says
"Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both".
--Benjamin Franklin
Cheers!
