Brocante, Amsterdam. Wherever I travel, if there's a brocante in the vicinity, chances are I'll find it!
If you're lucky enough to be in Paris in late September, the famous brocante and ham fair at Chatou begins Friday, Sept. 25th and continues daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Sunday,Oct. 5th. My friends Blandine Bavoux, Geraldine Michelis and Gunnar Petterssen will be there with more unique finds.
The location near Paris is easily accessible via R.E.R. train A1 direction Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Exit the train at Rueil-Malmaison or Chatou-Croissy and walk the short distance to the Ile de Chatou. You can get a taxi from Paris, but don't expect to find one to take you home. Brocante tickets are available at the entrance gate at Ile de la Chatou.
Watch this site for further information about the Foire Nationale aux Antiquites a la Brocante et aux Jambons.

Ham as in the meat or as in ham radio? Either way, I'm not sure how the they fit with the broccante, but sounds fun!

You found one of my "secret sources" in A'dam!! Love this shop & the owners!
Would love to "meet you" in person when I'm in Paris for Chatou... thanks so much for reminding me to contact Blandine! Will do so asap!
Yours,
Toma

I've been twice to what we lovingly call the Ham Fest. A great experience, and I'm looking forward to doing it again this time. Thanks for the reminder!
