"A poet's work is to name the unnameable; to point at frauds; to take sides; start arguments; shape the world and stop it from going to sleep." - Salman Rushdie

Fall vitrines at Chanel's legendary rue Cambon salon. Love these looks - ah, the hats! Wish I could afford these clothes. Such great style and elegance!
It's amazing how Coco Chanel's influence continues year in and year out. I love the white camellias accenting here and there, especially on that round white collar standing up halfway like a giant camellia petal.
Love seeing the new fashions each season. I told my daughter just yesterday that we can't always afford new things, but it sure is fun to look. Looking can inspire us to use something that is already in our closet in a new way. What fun!
Hooray for the recession being over in France and Germany. Now I just wish the US would get their act together.
Do me a favour Tara, run back to that shop window and write my name in front of that last jacket with the white bow on it. I LOVE IT. Can you see me in it at the Ham Fair? I can!
I always love the fall lines. I look forward to them, they are always my favourite collections of the year. I wish I could afford them too. Alas, not right now. xoxo
These photos are amazing, as are the clothes....

J'adore the 20s-inspired hats, and oh - those gloves! Sigh.
