Yes yes yes
I was sorry the comments on the following post are closed. I hope you didn't get a lot of vitriol from people.

Rock on!

Dawn

Thank you for your lovely entry, Tara. Your photo is beautiful with the bird almost touching the spire.

This year Fresh Air replayed an interview with former poet laureate Robert Hass from Sept 2001: http://tinyurl.com/ojbsq3

Take care,

Tara, thank you for the link to the towers. My cousin was here this weekend and we talked about his experience that day as he sat watching the attacks and the towers falling, sharing memories of that day and how all days since have changed and how we missed a huge chance for real world peace instead of the state of disorder that we now inhabit.

Regular reader of your posts, but rarely comment, though so much of what you say so eloquently moves me.

Along the same vein of the words of the Dalai Lama, I'm hosting my first ever party online-a Party for Peace. On 9/21/09, the Internationally recognized Day of Peace, if you're back from London, would you consider linking your blog to mine and sharing your thoughts on Peace? Whatever it means to you, or what represents it best-a song, a quote, a story, a picture, an image, a symbol, whatever it may be...

At work, we murmured words to whoever may carry them to those who lost loved ones on 9/11. I think we were all affected. I look at the way childhood changed for my twelve year old son that day. But I also think of that single intake of breath by billions worldwide, the unified loss, the rebirth of spirit, a world with no borders.

Thank you for always knowing just what to say.

What a beautiful photo to remember such a tragic day. The quote is so fitting, and one we all should remember.

Great photo Tara!
The world has changed since the towers fell. I distinctly remember it changing in the days and weeks and years that followed.
It still boggles the mind that it was that long ago, it seems like yesterday to me.

I just wanted to stop by and wish you a happy, happy birthday. (I couldn't post a comment on the actual day's post.) I wish you a year full of laughter, hugs, inspiration, and success.

christina

I will never, ever forget that day. This is such a beautiful photograph.

Still such a pain in our hearts. I must use that quote. How perfect. xo

I've been remembering today, too. 46 floors. Wow. This is a lovely image to remember with.

Many things to think of today from the twin towers to politics. Sometimes it just makes my stomach churn. I hope for a better future for the US.

judith

A necessary dream, indeed.

Thank you for remembering with me. I wish I had taken photographs of the Towers I could see from my bedroom window but I thought they'd always been there.
