A row of trims and lace at Westerstraat Market, the Jordaan, Amsterdam. The market originated in the 16th-century as a textiles market, although its offerings now emcompass food, clothing and antiques and collectibles.
Gingham in many colours.
Rolls of brocades for furniture upholstery.
Bolts of fabric stacked in a van.
Curious combinations.
Seersucker and plaids.
Chiffons and lace.

i can see my window covered in a curtain with chiffon from amsterdam. yeah.

I love gingham, even though I don't own any. Reminds me of my childhood; of picnics and meals at Italian restaurants (later, in New York) something comforting about it.

I would just die to be surrounded with all that fabric and trims. It would be so difficult not to buy, buy, buy. I went to the fabric store recently to see the row of gingham and couldn't find it. So glad to see it here.
