Oh these photos are luscious! How marvelous of David to capture this fun and beauty, and for you to publish it, Tara! I just adore the way each image seems to tell us a story. Wonderful!
And the news about President Obama winning the Novel Prize for Peace is the icing on today's cake!
Sending you and David love and hugs from San Francisco!

Too true, and did you know, ladies who wore hats to the event got free addmission.? Too bad I kept mine squashed up in my handbag, lol. Then again, it was too beautiful a day to wear a fur cossak style, bad enough that I wore a long black fitted[very warm] coat. Thought it was going to be cold and wet, like the day after, lol. Oh well, we cant all get it right.

I love this so much!
I was really angry and upset about Obama not meeting the the Dalai Lama and about our pandering to China, and it was really depressing me, and I came over here and got cheered up. How fun is this!
I'm going to bed now and not worrying any more about hypocrisies. In fact, I want a new hat now.

Hats are such fun! And these are all gorgeous each in their own way.
I think wearing a hat brings out a unique aspect of one's personality!!! People seem to glow in a hat.
These photos are fabulous, tell David so!!! xoxo Thanks for sharing Tara!

I didn't know that, Kathy. Thanks for the info and the kind words! As for ticket prices, hard to beat the bargain of 8 euros for the Arc! Quite a contrast from Ascot or York race prices, isn't it?

The Twins, [in matching boots], are from the french dressage assosiation, and they get cheaper tickets. Fantastic photo of them.

Oh David has the most beautiful eye! I love this.

David has an eye for a beautiful woman but we knew that already didn't we? :)
Hope you both enjoyed the day. The brocante was INTERESTING. Lots of rummaging to find the treasure amongst the plastic toys etc but the weather was nice and I found some gems. Let me know your dates ASAP and I am back down to Kent tomorrow delivering more furniture. I just got back and I'm off again. Going to Newark Antiques Fair on the way back 4,000 stalls - PHEW!

Such sartorial splendor, what a visual treat! How wonderful to have not just the beauty of the horses and riders but the parade of people as well. Fabulous postings.

I am head over heels in love with the bowlers!!!! The girl in the first pictures has amazing eyes, just beautiful. I love the young man in the turban and my favorite whole look is the lady in red.
