I have a fetish for hats, and just returned from Chicago and was pleased to see so very many people wearing hats there.
Although there were a great many baseball caps, there were some amazingly wonderful hats on men also.
Yes, Qatar is probably the most forward-thinking of the Arab Gulf states. I've met quite a few Qatari journalists over the years (formerly I was a Middle East correspondent) and they're not only clever, but very kind.
Was talking to the two ladies photographed, we sat next to them. The elder ladys relative works for the Qatari ruling family as a helicopter pilot. The photo above them, is the sheik[middle] who we talked to about womens rights of all things. He is very proud that his country is forward thinking about this.
What fun! Is that you and your daughter? Gorgeous photos and models. I adore hats and often try them on for light fun, even if not thinking of purchasing, because it is so freeing to sport a "new look", even for a moment.
