A yellow bike and wheels of cheese, Haarlem.
I snapped this picture for the sign's font. Love it!
This unique building features a cantilevered top and heavy iron and wooden shutters.
A return to the '60s in this Haarlem shop window. Note the Barbie and the lava lamp.
The elegant train station is a reminder of a more genteel era of European train travel.
Lanterns at a restaurant facing the main square.

Chris, it's pronounced the same way it's pronounced in New York, only spelled differently. Harlem/Haarlem. Thanks for the kudos about the photos!

How is Haarlem pronounced in Dutch?
I'm reading through all, but this was the fastest, and these photos just blow my mind.
(60's? 70's?)

Hey most beautiful friend,
that last photo reminds me of Utica, a train station in the state of New York that is reminiscent of days of old too.
It has a very similar look!
All things Holland are looking rather inviting.
As well cannot wait for your upcoming stay in Spain, I just know that will be an inspiration to us all (photographically speaking).
xoxo love!!

Great pictures. I particularly enjoyed the building with the shutters and decoration.
Have you found any good antique fairs or brocantes yet?

When we planned a trip to Europe 2 years ago we were going to stay in Haarlem, but plans were changed and we ended up in Amsterdam at a later date. I would love to go back and see Haarlem the next trip that direction. Fun pictures.
