Plenty of fish in the sea: must the Lib Dems kiss up to the Tories, Nick Clegg? It would appear a Lib Dem-Labour coalition government is more reasonable, considering your similar political ideologies.
Or will Conservative leader David Cameron try to go it alone, without support from the Lib Dems or any other coalition? Without a clear mandate, forming a government could seem like swimming upstream against the current.Read more here, here and here.

oh, I can't even get started on the oil spill, except to say I am so disappointed in our President. He does many good things and then supports such a flawed and disastrous system.

Bonnie, I agree. Off-shore oil drilling is a dangerous policy, for so many reasons, but especially because of the terrible threat to the environment!

As an outsider, I can only note that's it's about time politician started to learn one single word: "modesty".
Do check out this graph:

[Graph shows fiscal deficit as % of GDP versus total debt divided by GDP for the European nations & the US]
As you can see, England is shifting ever closer to Greece -
so whoever takes part in a UK government coalition, it's time to focus on what really counts: saving the furniture.

while i do wish the UK
all the best in clarity,
right now
i am most worried about losing biodiversity
in the waters off Florida--
indeed in the entire Atlantic--
due to the oil spill in the gulf...
why,
you have no idea what murkiness IS
until you look into the politics
of off~shore drilling...

Hi Tara,
My DH and I have been watching the elections carefully and I had the same reaction to Nick Clegg's overture to the Tories. We were wondering if he was giving Brown the chance to step down and offer the leadership to someone else (David Milliband??) and then they can form a coalition with labour, which makes so much sense. There's such hostility towards Brown right now that I think Clegg might be waiting to see what happens there. Also, I'm really worried about the financial situation in Greece and how it will affect the stability of other European countries. That's just an aside.
