A sailboat, canoes and kayaks on the River Thames, Weybridge, England.
Students in canoes set off at noon Sunday for another lesson.
Where has she been, you might wonder, of this sadly-neglected blog? After a trip to London, there are deadlines to meet; an apartment to clean; laundry to do; clothes to iron; packages to mail; guests arriving; a wedding to shoot; bags to pack; a plane to Sevilla. Other travel plans to arrange; articles to write; photos to edit; email to answer; business requiring my attention. I steal a few moments here and there to peek at blogs, Twitter and Facebook.
So until I catch up with obligations and have time to blog properly, I'll be posting more summer vignettes.
Ghost Furniture and Concrete Ghost
If you haven't seen my brilliant friend Di Overton's new Ghost Furniture website, do have a look at her gorgeous creations! And check out Concrete Ghost, a clever collaboration with the talented London-based sculptor and artist Kathy Dalwood. So many beautiful and unique things these women have created; am longing for a bigger apartment!
Seeing this sailboat on its own reminded me of a felucca sailing down the Nile. If only!
P.S. Here's David with the adorable baby Joseph, who's nearly five months old.

Happy that summer is busy...much better than the alternative.
Would love to jump into one of the kayaks!!

Just found you and happy that I did. The brocante at Chatou,France...I would love to go this fall. Do they bargain there or are prices pretty much fixed? Are the prices competitive? It's been too long since I visited "my" France. I must get back!

So, do you celebrate the Fourth? How? I am curious. Anyway... I was just dropping in to wish you and yours the happiest Independence Day. May your day be full! May you enjoy laughter shared with family, great food shared with friends, fireworks to make you gasp, a lump in your throat at the anthem, and a full and grateful heart at all we have been given. Happy Fourth of July, my friend!

Nothing makes my day more than reading an update to your blog Tara! You live an incredibly wonderful, exciting life that I am happy you choose to share with us. Doting David and baby Joseph are both charmers! Safe journeys Miss Tara.

You are a delight Tara. Thanks so much for the mention. Things have gone crazy here since the press release went out. I sent you an email the other day (a very long one) and got an out of office reply, I do hope you got it.
Ah, doesn't David make the perfect Granddad, he looks so proud and Baby Joseph is a little poppet.
Hugs

Tara, you are allowed to take blog breaks as long as you need to live the (very) busy life you live!
But I love seeing your vignettes! They're the best.
And that photo of David (who looks incredibly handsome!) and Joseph is precious. A relative? A grandchild? Or just an adorable little one! No matter!

What lovely vignettes! It is so very refreshing to see people in non-power vessels on the water ... jet skis and motor boats drive me crazy! The last photo is particularly adorable - what sweet friends!
