What beautiful lighting and beautiful blue. I wanted to crawl into that pottery store!

It just looks too ideal. Love it. Want to see it.

Such romantic images! Love the whole ambience of the buildings gathering all their old secrets together by the canal!

Donna

I can't wait to see all the hidden treasures that the Netherlands will offer up to your artist's eye.

Rosa

How wonderful! I love the architecture and the canals. Sweet.

Helen

Wonderful photos! It would be worth it to leave behind a pair of shoes!

Gillian

Wow! A vase and large map, what treasure you found in the Netherlands. I look forward to hearing more about your trip. Love seeing the pictures. Happy travels!

Catherine, traveling by train and already have a second bag (my camera gear). Plus, must carry a huge (over 7 ft. tall) rolled-up canvas world map that I found at a brocante! Good job David can help get it home. :)

Hi Tara,

What gorgeous images you have captured. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures. The Netherlands is on my list of places to visit. So glad you're having a lovely time.

BTW, I have some Delftware that was handed down to us from two grandmothers. I hope you leave those shoes behind and get your vase. :-)

Cheers!

Catherine

Did you book one of those "carry on luggage only fares"? If not, you could buy a bag cheaply to check your clothes, and pack *two* Delft vases in your carry-on!

Mary H.

Tara, you always manage to post some of your beautiful pictures when we need them the most....I am having such fun seeing your photos from a part of the world I up until now have basically ignored. Shame on me! Safe travels to you and David and can't wait for more photos and stories.

Oh, mail the shoes home if you can't imagine life without them. As a confirmed "mad about pottery" woman, the vase was the only logical choice!
